The Christmas holiday season is my favorite time of year. It is a time for presents (and I love opening presents!), but my mother instilled in me that the gifts I give had to come from the heart. So like her, I make my gifts every year. Whether it’s hand-sewn or knitted items or
canned or baked goods, my gifts are homemade. The secret ingredient is that while I am making these, I think about who I will be giving the gift to, and the gratitude I have for that relationship is a gift I receive in return.
Along with my annual tradition of wearing a Christmas sweater all 31 days in December and posting it on Facebook (and there is no such thing as an ugly Christmas sweater!), the Christmas Ship Parade is also a part of my holiday tradition. Follow me on Facebook to see my daily sweater posts.
